Wardrobe Wednesday

With the Gardener working evenings, I have been doing the bedtime routine solo. Not that my kids need lots of hands on help anymore but I do need to keep them motivated otherwise they'll catch a glimpse of what's on the TV and stand there half-dressed watching some crappy infomercial. That's my cue to turn off the TV and mention to Binny that her PJs are on backwards.

Violet willfully ignores me for at least 30 minutes after my first request to jammie up. Then the nagging starts. I follow up with empty threats and finally force a nightgown over her head. Aaron has always worked nights and my patience for bedtime tomfoolery faded away long ago. I honestly don't care if she goes to sleep anymore. I just want her to stay in her bed so I can have a few moments of peace before going to bed myself.

Cute jammies!

Believe it or not, I have *almost* got the bedtime routine down to a science. As long as it's not a bath night, I can get all four in bed in 15 minutes.

And yes, it's because I need those few moments (hours?) of peace before my own bedtime, too!

Cute shots. Bedtime is always a battle here too. I'm tempted to let them sleep in their clothes they wore that day.

Lately, I've been going up to bed first (and getting some quiet alone time). Princess wanders up at some point and goes to sleep in her clothes. I believe she's 6 going on 16.

I guess I have the attention span of a child since I will be getting dresse and stop and be memorized by the television. Sometimes they have some very interesting things on tv.
