Monday Garden Club

Once again I'm late for Garden Monday, but with the Holiday weekend spent in the woods far away from any Internet access, or even TV or cell phone coverage, I didn't have high hopes for today's update (Next week, I swear!), but the rest of you (and your links) have convinced me to join in, even if half-assed.

We're home now, but unpacking, dirty laundry, tending to hundreds of mosquito bites and some weird eye thing that Binny picked up from swimming in the lake have used up all of the time I would normally use to upload a bunch of photos of the garden. Probably better that way considering the weeds seemed to take off while we were gone.Yes, it's raining in these photos.

I went out there to have a look and ended up picking all of these cucumbers and zucchini!
Guess what we're having for dinner tonight?

That's it for me this week but my brother's flower garden deserves a few photos...I swear those blue Delphinium in the back are as tall as I am, if not taller!
These roses too are about as impressive as they get. Can't eat them, but they sure do scream summer!

What's screaming Summer in your yard? Either leave a comment on what's growing in your yard, or post a Monday Garden Club update on your blog. Don't forget to drop your link in the comments and I'll add it to this post.

Half assed?! Looks good to me!

Your squash looks good, wish I could eat squash right now! I have kind of hit my fill of it all of a sudden, lol.

It sounds like you had a great weekend away!

Oh, and we purchased a camera, not the fancy one, but an SLR which I'm learning to work. I'm not going to be a fancy photo taker, but just want to improve my photos a bit and you can't really improve with a point and shoot. Just another way you inspire me Ali!

That blue delphinium is incredible!! And I'm SO jealous of your zucchini! I planted mine about the same time as you and I have nothing! lol!

Oh, duh, I also had to restart mine 3 times. Never mind. I figure another couple weeks then. I'll have to admire yours til then.

Boo mosquitoes! Hope Binny's eye gets better soon!

Those zucchini & cucumbers look great though!

Look at all those yummy veggies!! I finally got tired of the beans overrunning our garden and pulled them all out today. Feeling a little guilty right now, but they were taking over the garden. I couldn't tell which vines were to which bean plant so I pulled them all. LOL!

Great photos as always, you will be pleased to know that this Summer I am attempting to grow some lettuce and some herbs I will let you know how it goes. I do not have a green thumb at all.
