Here, Irma Irma

If you have been reading my blog for any amount of time, you know about my love affair with our little local newspaper, The Squeak.

This week there were two great ads I couldn't pass up.

Here we go...

Yes, I admit that I feel bad that Irma (the fat, gray cat) is missing, but seriously how do you lose a gas powered lawn trimmer? Perhaps the former owner was using it on a Sunday and the neighbors took action. ...Just a thought.

What Grandma Dee Thinks Of Dancing With The Stars

My grandmother just called to check in on Mae, and after the crap day we had, this was just the conversation I needed.

"Have you ever watched that Dancing With the Stars program?"

I have, but not this season.

"Good Lord! You know they don't even dance to the music. They were just doing a waltz, but that was like no waltz I've ever seen. It's more like aerobics than dancing. They were shaking and jumping around like a bunch of monkeys. And those outfits! Well, this gal at least was a little covered up but most of them have their boobs and every other part hanging out. Forget it!"

Grandma, you made my day!

Oh Crap Mother's Day Is This Weekend

I have been thinking of something to post for Mother's Day but haven't come up with anything yet. I still have 2 days right? Oh and I recently found out that my Grandparents occasionally catch my blog now that they are staying with my mom for the summer. The other night I called them to see how their flight was, and one of the first things my 91 year old grandfather told me was that he just saw me on the TV. At first I was a bit confused (I don't think I've been arrested recently) then I realized that he was talking about my Mother's laptop and my blog. Does that mean I need to clean up my language??? Anyhow, by Sunday I have to think of something to post here because I didn't send any cards or flowers this year. Sorry Mom and Grandma. Money has been a little tight but more so I hate the whole card thing. Squeeze my big shopping cart through the card aisle with all of the other children in Target trying to find the perfect card for Mom or Grandma or step-mom, or Mother-in-law or Grandmother-in-law. Forget it, the kids make something and we call it good. Maybe a glass of champagne when we see you all at the end of the month.

For now check out this video made by Ann of Anns' Rants and 2 other Wisconsin Blogger Moms. Funny stuff!
