Wardrobe Wednesday

Finally summer has arrived and for the last week we have been treated to HOT, MUGGY weather. Naturally the girls have practically been living in their swim suits. They have enjoyed running through the sprinkler in the yard or having a fun day at the beach.

Today we went shopping and bought Binny a new suit because hers was getting a lot little worn out. Mae is still rocking the pink hearts until I can find a reasonable suit in her size. The only suits that were available in Mae's size were either covered with Hannah Montana's picture, or way too trashy FOR A 6 YEAR OLD!!! We'll have to keep looking.

Check out all of the Wardrobe Wednesday fun at Heathen Family Revival!

Isn't that true. When a little girl gets out of the cute size of 6x there's only hoochy wear available to her. Who are these fashion buyers? Have they ever met a six year old?

Very cute suit. It is hard to find nice suits for little girls.

I always bought suits on clearance from Lands End for my daughter. Modest yet cute colors. Otherwise, it is tough.

Yeah Hannah Montana or HSM seem to dominate kids clothing at the moment. Or the other extreme is far too "tarty" to consider.

You're not kidding. The clothes I see for sale for little girls are like for whores, for crying out loud. As for my boys, as soon as they got out the toddler age, all the clothes for sale were grungy and "cool" instead of preppy. drives me bonkers.

I love the pigtails. I LIVED in pigtails when I was little, although they were always uneven because my mom was inept.

Wild Child #2 wants to know how Mae got all dirty. And I so understand about the swimsuit dilemma for girls. Such a pain!

That's really a very cool pic! And I know what you mean about kids clothes. It's like they're making them for mini-hookers or something. Kinda sad. You'll find a good one as soon as swim suit season is over, lol
