I have been posting so many photos of Binny lately, I thought that I would post something of Mae. I was going to post the outfit she wore to school yesterday. It was "wear your words" day at school for Library Week, and the children were asked to wear clothing with words on it. Do you know how hard it was to find something with words on it? I make it a point not to buy clothing for my children with lots of logos and pictures on them. Same goes for Hannah Montana or High School Musical themed clothing, not in my house!
After rummaging around in the basket of her clean laundry, Mae ran upstairs to rifle through her dresser drawers. Finally, she found a shirt that normally she would refuse to wear but since it fit the "it has words on it" criteria she quickly put it on and agreed to let me take her picture in it. Shocking, I know! ...but the photos looked like crap.
Honestly they were so bad, I refuse to show them on the Internet. I think there is something wrong with my new (50 mm) lens or more likely, operator error. I can't seem to get it to focus properly. I don't have problems with my other 2 lenses, and for crying out loud it's brand spankin' new, it should work! Anyhow, I get it out occasionally to see if I can figure out the problem, it will magically work. Well, that was dumb, because all of the shots were fuzzy. As I was looking at the photos on the computer I thought to myself, this never happened when I had that old film *gasp* Nikon. That thing was manual to the max. Manual focus, twist to your favorite aperture, don't forget to attach the flash, awesome camera. I love the ease and speed of my new camera but the photos from the old Nikon were fantastic.
Mae as a baby (5 months) taken with the old camera.
...and her outfit is pretty darn cute too!
*** sorry to all of you, who like me are baby crazy. Just looking through these old photos, makes me want to jump my husband and have another.

My uterus is salivating.
Wait...that sounds really gross.
You know what I mean.
Adorable photos of Mae.
Me, too, on the baby crazy.
I got home and discovered something was off on my camera and most of my vacation pics are super blurry. :(
Beautiful baby! But funny, no amount of baby pics can make me want another. I'm complete. Finito, done. Nadda. lol
Funny - Ever since I joined the digital world of cameras (and I was stubborn about joining) about 3 years ago, none of the pictures I've taken with the digital camera have been printed or put in albums or framed! I am so behind and I used to be so good about it. It's on my "long-term to-do list" identified as "photos."
I don't want more babies of my own, but I'm ready for a niece or nephew... my brother's getting married next month!
i gave you an award-come and get it!
My youngest is 11 and I keep asking my husband for another baby. He always says "Well, we can try." knowing darn well that we CANT have babies after his little snip-snip operation!! LOL
Beautiful baby...and I love babies...but I'm done.
I'm crazy for other people's babies! My uterus is closed for business! I love your pics though!
Ahahaha! I just read Kelly's comment, and am dying laughing! I like the idea of not purchasing clothing items with logos and things on them...but you're right; it's slim pickins.
Aliceson, would you be so kind as to pop me an e-mail? I love your comments and at times would like to continue the convo but can't seem to locate an e-mail in your profile or on your page. Am I missing something?
I cry at diaper commercials, but still have yet to feel the baby rage.
It may be waiting; who knows.
But those little chubby legs get me every time. In the words of Amalah: NOM NOM NOM!
LOL, Kelly!!!!
Aliceson, those pictures are soooo cute!!
Space for baby is already taken....I'm due in October. Mae's pictures certianly are darling, though! I'm all for it, go for three!
