December 1998 [I was a senior in high school] I traveled to Nepal with my mom to visit a friend of hers who was volunteering in the Peace Corps. The first several days of our 2 week trip we spent exploring the ancient sites in Kathmandu. What an amazing place to visit!
I couldn't get over all of the beautiful children, often walking around the dirty streets alone or supervised by a slightly older child.
***I apologize for the poor quality of these. I had to scan in the old photos. Did digital cameras even exist 10 years ago?

Oh, the quality is just fine! Just shows the age. Got any more pics from back then? I'd love to see them!
Beautiful photos of beautiful children.
Yes, digital cameras existed 10 years ago. The quality of my wedding snapshots ( 1 megapixel) is so poor that they cannot be printed larger than wallet size.
These photos are wonderful. Thank goodness you didn't have a digital camera back then!
I agree, the pictures look fantastic! When I've packaged up some old children's clothing to be donated to one cause or another, I often imagine little children in third-world countries wearing our things...
Kelly,
You are probably right, although carrying around that much film was getting a bit ridiculous. I think I used 12 rolls...
Rachel,
That is exactly how it was. Many of the children were wearing popular American brands and American sports teams, at least in K-du. I think much of it was donated from the U.S.
Wow, this must be the coolest Wardrobe Wednesday ever. These pictures are beautiful.
the pics look like their out of a mag not poor at all. Lovely! I love them.
I've always wanted to go to Nepal my friend came back with some wonderful tales. The pictures are fab!
wow that must have been a memorable experience!
Definitely cool Wardrobe Wednesday! Great photos!!
That must have been so heart breaking... It's always amazing to be reminded of how good we have it here in the US.
